Oh man!

Note to self: it is a terrible idea to have more than 1 5 year old in a room at one time for more than 4 hours...that's why preschool is always just a half day! yeesh! This past weekend was full of ups and downs and all kinds of craziness! amber came to visit and kayley spent the night on saturday night. we went to chucke cheese and had pizza and pop and came home and had cookies and milk. then pat got home and amber and i left (muah haha...) stephanie and amber and i decided the only place we could possibly spend our evening was at bww's with the amazing dawn! we spent the entire evening there, in fact we closed the place down. it was so good to get out and have girl time. it was also nice to have all of my best friends (except marklyn) in the same room all at once. the next morning i woke up bright and early with Nora louise, kayley and emma. sunday may have been the longest day of my life :) it is amazing to me how different two 5 year olds can be. but we made it through the day and everyone was happy in the end.

mom and dad left for Florida on saturday. tessa and i both miss them terribly horribly. i think i missed them the most when i was stuck in the snow at the end of their driveway or when i was shoveling the massive amount of snow off said driveway.

jessica tucker has been babysitting my monsters and I am so fortunate to have her. they for sure have been giving her a run for her money. i wish i could pay her more...she definately deserves it! thus far emma has tried to convince her that she is allowed on her top bunk, allowed in nora's tent, allowed on Nora's toys...that she doesn't have to take a nap and that she doesn't have to eat if she doesn't want to. She also told jessica this, "I won't get in trouble unless you tell shay!" well guess what, she told me! duh. kids, i tell ya.

yesterday logan and i spent 3 hours on his science fair project. sometimes i worry about him...

today is dawns birthday. Happy birthday dawn! dang you look good for being 45! haha...

It's not a party unless someone pukes and someone else poops their pants!

Today was nora's 1st birthday party. it was great! everyone had fun building their own pizza's and all the deserts turned out. the decorations looked cute and most of all Nora had a blast! She got a whole bunch of awesome toys and clothes and enough money/giftcards to buy her bike trailer! She started walking for real today. she has been taking steps but today she was really on a roll...I'm quite certain it's because she hates crawling in a tutu :)

Nora refused to make a mess with her cake...she wouldn't even try the frosting until we gave her a spoon...even then she didn't go crazy with it...she's such a lady!

Before, durring and after the meal all the older kids were running around and being kids...Apparently they were having too much fun because little miss o'hare tossed her cookies and shortly afterwards Emma had the runs all over herself and the bathroom...besides these two mishaps though, the party went off without a hitch!

Top bunks and soap in your mouth...

Yesterday Jessica Tucker babysat my children (all of them) for the first time. Logan bossed everyone around and Emma was Emma...she refused to eat or nap and spent most of the 7 1/2 hours on her top bunk (where she has never been allowed). As punishment for not listening, for lying and for refusing to take a nap, she was not allowed to have a sleep over at JuJu's...she did not care in the least.

Today after church Big Steve picked Emma up and asked if she wanted to ride with him to taco bell. she proceeded to kick him and scream "I don't want to go with you!!!" i calmly walked her to my van and told her that when we got home she would be getting soap in her mouth for screaming and hurting Big Steve's feelings. When we got home we went to the bathroom, I explained what I was about to do and then did it. she did not fight me, she did not cry, she just took it like a champ.

What am I going to do with this child???

Oh Logan...

This is a conversation which occured while helping Logan with his Valentines...

Me: Would you like to give Bo a pencil or a candy valentine?

Logan: Definately a candy one...he's my best friend!

Me: really? I didn't know you had a best friend?

Logan: Yup, sometimes durring free time we do music and we both do the robot.

seriously, What more can you ask for in a best friend? :)

I've been missing them...

So my kids came back from a little vacation at their Egg Donors today. I haven't seen them since Saturday and it has been way too quiet around here. I know how Michelle Dugger feels when the family goes on a trip without her. I also understand why she likes them all around...when you have a house full of kids they all entertain eachother...I've had to entertain Nora all by myself! :)

We got our taxes done yesterday and all I have to say is God is good! We will be able to finally pay off our bankruptcy, pay off a chunk of the back taxes and fix my van...we may even be able to get a new couch! Praise the Lord!

Emma told her mother the other day that gad made her bad. when her mother told her that god makes everyone good she responded, nope, he made me bad. I'm guessing that they were talking at school about how God makes everyone just the way they are or something...funny how she views things. I don't think she's bad...she's just Emma.

Nora has taken up yelling, "Hey ya ya!" over and over all the time...i love it! Oh and she has started a dj business...she's amazing!

We attended Chase and Camerons 1st birthday party a few sundays ago and this coming sunday is noras birthday party! i can't believe she's going to be a year old already...it's almost time to make another one! Haha...not until after these June weddings!

Kid's have school today! Yippee!!!

So yesterday I forced my oldest two out into the snow...go! play! and they did...for like 15 minutes. then it was back to whinning about being cold and bored and hungry. But as I watched them playing in the backyard through a window (Nora was too sick to go out) I see logan climb a snow bank that is half way up the side of our shed and try to knock all the snow off the roof...all I could imagine was an avalanche and me having to run out in my pj's and barefeet to dig him out...when I asked him what he was doing he said he was trying to get the snow to fall on him and bury him...of course you were! Today Emma has a snotty nose and keeps sneezing...that's what I get for making my kids get some fresh air and exercise!

Ok...here's a baby update! nora is almost 1! she is taking steps (although she prefers to crawl) she is eating big girl foods like casserole and mac&cz...she'll pretty much try anything we're eating. my hope is that she's a good eater like logan but moves like emma! she loves to brush her teeth and dance. she has conqured playing emmas recorder :) and loves to watch the traffic go by out the front window. she has 6 teeth. 2 on the bottom and 4 on top. she loves logan and emma almost as much as she loves the cat! she's a momma's girl for sure and she's still not sleeping through the night...I think that's all for now!

LONGEST SNOW DAY EVER!

Yesterday I was home all day with the kids...today I was home all day with the kids...tomorrow I will be home all day with the kids...I may go insane. I'm just warning all of you that this may be my last post from outside a padded room. I remember loving snow days. coloring and creating things and building forts. Not these kids! I wanna watch tv, I wanna play video games...I'm hingry, i'm hungry, i'm hungry. Serioulsy?!

We've been working on getting Logan to slow down. Slow down when he does his homework, slow down when he reads, slow down when he eats...He got called "fatboy" at the playplace at McDonalds the other day...I wasn't there so I'm not sure how he handled it. It's sad though to be called names when you're that young.

Emma on the other hand never wants to eat. she sits at the table for at least 20 minutes after we have all finished every meal. And it's not one of those things where she's full...she just doesn't like to eat. Needless to say meal time is probably one of the most stressful parts of my day...one kid snorfing his food and one kid playing with hers...

Nora isn't feel up to par yet. Today she wanted to be held all day, until you picked her up and then she wanted down...she mostly slept and ate and slept some more...

Let's hope that tomorrows snow day is more fun!
